I admit.. I need some stats therapy..like having ppl read my post and either flame in a GODly manner or be nice and contribute..

after 5 months of online gaming (2 on CoD, 3 on BF2, yeah yeah i am a n00b and an old one too).. i have to say that the language used in BF2 and the forums are pretty insightful..

think about it:

Base rapist
BH whore, tank whore, chopper whore
Flag capping
Asshat
OMG
OMFG
WTF
Spawn Rapist (this was new to me last nite)
STFU
n00b
n00b tube (this was too funny)
stats padding
knife raping
arti kills

it sure did opened up a whore new world of linguistic possibilities to me..

Here is a polite online lingo term: Bio or Bio Break
Context it is used is, "BRB Bio"

Essentially meaning, "Be right back. I have got to take a piss break."

When used with a longer time frame modifier like "BBL Bio" or "BBIAB Bio"
It usually means, "I've got to take a shit. Be back later or Be back in a bit."

Of course it could also mean all sort of other necessary Biological things for men or women.
I'm sure you can use your imagination.

I learned this while playing MMORPGs.

So I guess it's a good internet lingo to know.

Way before that. I got onto the net in 91, using Telnet and unix. We had local BBS sites that we logged onto for our daily chats. I used to play Mud (multi user dungeon) games way before World of Warcraft or any of those type games. Muds were text only. You had to be able to read and type very quickly or you were dead meat.

But way back then was when I first encountered the LOL and ROFL , etc., etc. I imagine it was around before that since it already existed when I first entered cyberspace.

Zmud was getting big as I phased out of mudding so I never used it either. I remember when they started making the Windows D & D type games. I was thinking, no way could they ever get the graphics to do what was needed for something like that. Boy was I wrong.

Because then it wouldnt be l337, it would be elite. It would take too little effort, and then noone would recognize your l337 gaming skillz .
