I read that as Muslim backdrops... I think that was because you mentioned tripods and tv mounts and I instantly thought of an Osama Tora Bora Cave
Osama had those, turning his Abbottabad hideout into a convincingly looking cave, fooling the US intelligence to think he is in the Tora Bora cave.
If he had used the backside with the Carribean palm beach, he would still be alive.
The set also comes with a green Chromakey backdrop.  But yeah, Osama should have used one of those and overlayed some tropical island video.

But keeping on topic, got these:
Brother Printer HL-2220 Monochrome Printer - for family
SpongeBob SquarePants Tooncast Studio - for my 7 year old to learn about video editing
GAMMA Classic Series ATX Mid Tower Interior Steel Chassis (Black) - for a cheap build video editing pc

Ordered this one. Also a full ATX tower like the Obsidian. Normally sells for €150, but a friend of mine knows a guy that works at the store and is getting it for €127.

NZXT Phantom

Built a friend's PC with that case the other day.

So good to work with, you'll love it.

Cable management's a dream and the fan control is pretty cool.

If you're retarded like me, though, I'll save you time and say that the top fan's LED switch is on the back panel.

I followed all the fucking cables looking for it...

I recommend buying an optional front intake fan, though. It may be unnecessary, but I always have to have at least one in my PCs.

Oh I will definitely be buying a front intake.

I have an H70, so the radiator is going to obviously go on the back and the top fan is going to likely be moved to the front mount and the rear will remain open. We'll see. Thanks for the feedback, Link - always good to hear that the real world matches the reviews on the Net.

I've had a full ATX in the past on a really old build and it was so easy to work with because you had so much room. This cheap-o €35 midtower I have at the moment is such a pain in the ass. Not because of the poor cable management but because everything is so bloody CRAMPED. I wanted to get the Corsair 600T but it's still a mid tower.

and some new headphones, spent ages and ages deciding which ones to go for, I am not sure how these will turn out, but the idea of high end wireless tempted me (travel a lot, hate wires), they will be returned if the sound doesn't match the price though.

I likes the H60, prob a good idea to go with that over the H100 right now, I guess some of them are having fan controller issues at the moment.

PNY GTX 560 Ti.

Installed.

Found out I have to install a new power supply (min 500W, OEM PS was like 140W...).

Score! Found 550W PS in old system I was about to get rid of. Found it incompatible with MB of new system.

Found out I have to purchase a new power supply. Gaming rig is inop until then.

Corsair GS700 PSU.

No need for the LEDs, but the cable management is nice.

I'm so tired of my old E8500-HD4870 system, BSODs at random intervals (I think the RAMs are borked), and the 4870 is beginning to show it's age...

I want to get a new system but not sure where to get the cash for it

i want  . . . what's the point of your post? not to be rude floppy, but you've posted before how you don't have a steady income.

are you asking how to overclock your current parts? asking how to earn money? clean up the random blue screens?

i'd be happy to help, but you have to give a little more info.

Just chit-chat..

But tbh I've been out of the loop for a while and idk what the current "optimal price performance" build is.. has to be intel and single card Nvidia... suggestions?

there's an excellent thread in the BF3 section. i'm running a Q6600 intel with an ATI 5850. it seems the i5 is the best bang for the buck, but i only have experience with the i7 (at work).

Yeah I've built some i5's back when they were new but the current ones are nowhere near the same as the "new" ones...

oh well, back to studying benchmarks @ TomsHardware and other sites I guess..

Deal was only live for like 10 minutes.  Fry's has it for $80.  Amazon had it for $90 on 10/4.  Newegg at $85.
