The price per barrel of oil just smashed its previous record. Many claim that speculation and profiteering are the cause of this rise in price which in my view is a logical assumption. It seems that the U.S. apparently has enough oil reserves to to last the U.S. for a good 7 months as well. Bush is also asking the Saudis to pump more oil, but many say it isn't the answer. He could easily sign an executive order to initiate drilling within U.S. territory and put a temporary end to the rise oil's cost. What do you think?
