All non-artillery kills show up in the TAB screen. So that commander had 40+ non artillery kills- not a good commander IMHO- to get that many kils IAR means you are probably not commanding. Those 40 kills do not count towards the global score, however.

I got the old War College Ribbon and the old expert knife. Both were tough- it took a very long time to get the expert knife- my knife kd kinda shows that. Then they nerfed it about a month later.
keyoshi is the best I've played with and against.
Iron Gator. USMC. Sit by Essex Gun. Switch to wrench and push left mouse button. And hope that both teams can hold 3 flags for an extended period of time
Knifes only. Imagine a scrum of 64 people in one place trying to stab each other.
I'd say paddles just slighlty more than knife, only because its harder for me to kill someone with the shock paddles.
Supply crates are particularly nasty, too.

I love running at someone with a knife when they are reloading because they couldnt kill me with one clip.
Or to let the commander know that I was not particularly happy with his artillery kill
And of course- spawn campers who lay prone near a spawn point.
Nothing beats sneaking up behind someone and stabbing them in the back.

Im having a hard time getting crew specialist.
When not playing SF, I am trying for Veteran Aviator and Veteran Helicopter- the only veteran badges I do not have.

I got my expert support on Warlord on the SAS side. 32 players on a 64 player map. The PKM is quite effective if prone in the hallways if you know how to use it. Most of my kills were PKM a few knife kills, no grenades, and most of them were in the palace. Most people follow the same paths, so its easy to pick people off as they run around the corners.
I love The Onion. Especially when you let someone read an article, and they had never heard of The Onion before.
Iron Gator- Essex Gun- MECs favorite target, and an easy 20+ repair points.
I agree. Its more fun than sneaking up behind a sniper and letting him know you were there. Unfortunately, most people wont take out their knife if I am running around with a knife.Spark wrote:
Mostly stats, but you can't deny that a knife fight is good fun.
I love knifing people. I dont need a K/P server to get my knife kills up. Besides, its not worth the risk of a stat reset. Since most of the good infantry people now play on IO servers, its much easier to sneak up behind someone to knife them on a regular server.
Love the PKM- if I see a smoking chopper, its toast. And its the only support weapon I fear from long range.
Knife is a close second place.

Medal of Valor is the toughest. 600+ hours, and I dont even have 1000 driver points. I'll easily get sharpshooter before medal of valor.
I got meritous service first of those three badges. Repair was the toughest until I played on Iron Gator. In less than 30 hours, I went from 400 repair points to over 1,000, got my expert repair, and got the gold star more than once by just repairing the Essex Gun. It was so easy. If MEC continuously attacks the Essex gun, there is no reason why you should not have at least 20 repair points at the end of the round. Assuming MEC and US can continuously hold 3 flags, the repair points could be higher. One round I got 37 repair points. it does get a little boring after a while. But play Iron Gator as US, and repair points will not be an issue.

Yes, I noticed that. Thats very annoying playing against that. Especially when the commander does not care about the refinery. Its the best way to eliminate the J10 problem. Besides stealing them.Gunner978 wrote:
As Every round on the US side i go str8 for refinary.. let my squad mates spawn on me and defend them/revive them when they get killed..
Whenever I run BF2VoiceSetup.exe, it crashes when I click "save settings", and it does not recognize my microphone regardless of the mic port, bit Vista recognizes the microphone. Any suggestions? I cannot set up my microphone in game either.
Gunner-
Played on your server for the first time yesterday- love Dragon Valley
Good stats- maybe should balance out some of the weapon kits- Support can be very hand in helicopters (not for yourself per se). How do you TV in Dragon Valley so well anyways? Cant see the crosshair sometimes.

Command. Hide yourself well, and rack up the arty kills. The 80 kill streak was over a couple rounds I believe- I got it on sharqi- easy to hide as MEC, and the US tends to bunch up together.NiMee wrote:
Last but not least, how the fuck u get 80 kill streak without flying?? Teach me plz..i am trying to increase my kill streak..
I love seeing a SF map as your favorite map. Yeah, I can tell you dont fly much, but it may keep you from an upcoming promotion. I'm learning to fly, and I think that Daqing is the best balanced air map (not much experience to go on)- if flying is difficult- sit in the second position on the bomber. Good weapons balance, KDR and SPM. If you really dont get the hang of flying, work on anti air, and I would expect a few more knife kills from someone who plays a lot of Warlord and especially Iron Gator.
There- I fixed my link to my stats under my name

It appears that you love Jalalabad IO. Not my favorite map, and IO is not my thing. You appear to be missing out in some upcoming promitions as well. If we ever met on the battlefield, I am sure I would die at your hands a lot. No purple heart is a good thing too. Very nice KDR and SPM- the latter is hard to achieve on vehicle maps. I wont talk about map selection as I used to be a Karkand whore until I discovered Dragon Valley. As an IO player, I'd give 9/10. (would be higher if the kit usage was evenly spread out) But I am not an I/O player and the stats are rather one-dimensional to me, so 7/10.

ROFL- There isnt too much use sitting in the back of Anti Air. If for some reason you have a good anti air driver, you can rack up the kill assists. Only engineers, anti tank, or support should sit back there. I got my veteran repair badge sitting in the back of a Linebacker. Anti tanks can come in handy going toe to toe with an APC. Armor, you're toast. Support can provide an endless supply of anti air missles- a good anti air tank driver would love you for that.k30dxedle wrote:
Being the anti-air gunner isn't exactly a fun proposition either, FYI. Driver stays still: get sniped out. Solution: get out, lose ride, get sniped anyway. Driver moves: you can't hit crap. Solution: get out, die from whatever driver was chasing/running away from.
Cloaked-
Nice well balanced stats on the vehicle side- adept at ground and air combat.
Lots of anti tank time- wouldnt want to play agianst you too much.
Need more command time, otherwise very nice

I recently installed BF2 on my new computer with Vista. BF2 itself loads fine and runs well (generally speaking) except for VOIP. When I installed BF2, once I got to the voice setup, it would not detect my microphone. When I clicked on save settings, Vista popped a message which states: BF2VoiceSetup.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. It then tells me to go to the DICE website and download BF2VoiceSetup.exe and install it. Cant find it there. After installing SF and the 1.41 patch, I try again with BF2VoiceSetup.exe and it does not work. And the ingame setup does not recognize my microphone. So I manually uninstall and reinstall BF2 and get the same message when it goes to voice setup.
The voice setup program works wonderfully on my XP machine, but not on my Vista machine. Vista recongizes my microphone in the recording devices setup. I do not have ventrillo or teamspeak installed yet- I would like to get my VOIP working properly first. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
