Sid, don't get new trims, if you're gonna spend money get alloys, you can pick up a decent set with tires for about £400.
I chose it on my first playthrough too and it's a bit of a waste indeed. Picked it because I always used that perk in the other Fallouts. Somehow it seems a lot more convincing in 2Dhaffeysucks wrote:

And is the Bloody Mess perk a waste? It sounds lulzy, but the nice thing about intact corpses is that they're easy to loot...

I don't know what the expiration dates are for Coca Cola in plastic bottles over there (six months here), or if the acceptable parameters for carbon dioxide percentages at bottle filling are the same but over here it's six months and as it gets nearer to that six month mark the drink gets flatter and flatter and therefor less tasty. If I were you I'd increase your Coke consumption the coming weeks or those last bottles may be a bit disappointing...kylef wrote:

40 bottles at 2 bottles a week. I hope you checked out the expiration dates, it tends to get a little less tasty as the coke loses carbon dioxide.

Maybe you're right. I got my car when it was 15 years old and it only had 148,000 miles on it. It'll turn 18 in april and it currently has 168,000 miles on the clock. Only problem I've had so far is the cam belt breaking and it was pretty cheap to replace. Maybe I should dump my car on jord before anything serious happens? The Sheriff wrote:
You would have more problems than it's worth, 161,000 and it's 18 coming on 19 years old, sooner or later he'll run into a costly problem.Rosse_modest wrote:

Quick question- Spoiler (highlight to read):
I was traveling to vault 87 (or whatever one you meet you dad in) and on the way there I passed a big canyon that was filled with raiders and prisoners. It was way bigger than any other single raider camp I've ever seen and at the back of the canyon there was a large building . So here's my question: Am I going to go to this place for a side-quest? I really want to go down there and murder all those innocent raiders, but not if that would mean skipping a quest or something. The camp and canyon I'm talking about are just a little southeast of the garage that the earlier mentioned vault is hidden in.

Mind you, I think the first person shooter element is an improvement on the original top down view - but in this case it simply serves to compensate for a less interesting background story and world. And imo the latter is more important.FloppY_ wrote:
Imho the "first person shooter element" makes far, far better than the original fallouts, it gives you a sence of immersion that the originals could never provide (for me atleast, I got pretty bored when trying them)...Rosse_modest wrote:
I partly share this view - F3's a good game, but it's just really average compared to Interplay's first two episodes - the world and story in F3 just isn't as expansive or interesting and it tries to make up for that by mixing in the first person shooter element.Miggle wrote:

Fallout 3 was great, but in comparison to the original 2 or Oblivion, it had incredibly little substance.
I'm sure all the fanboys will come flame the shit out of me, but that's because they've never played an RPG before in their shitty little lives.
Where I don't agree is with Oblivion - that was a total waste of the dvd discs and boxes if you ask me. Not worth its weight in paper and plastic - Fallout 3 is definitely better than that.
And there is really nothing like exploring the wasteland from a first person perspective...
The originals had allmost nothing that appealed to me...
And I'm no fanboy tbh
